Chapter 1
Kerry sat on the bar stool in the Laughing Goose, sipping at her vodka and coke. Her friend Susan sat beside her had long since been caught up chatting to the attractive guy next to her, Russ his name was apparently. Kerry sighed wondering how soon she could excuse herself from their company and go home. It was a mistake coming out, even with Susan who didn't care about the fact that Kerry had, what was the nice term again? A little extra? A great personality? Kerry held back a snort of derision.

Kerry was a shy person and the size of her body didn't help matters in social situations, others often got uncomfortable. She was happy with her body, loved the feel of it when she caressed herself but had lost count how many times people commented on her size or pulled faces. She knew some people just didn't like curves and well that was their loss. She'd had it most of her life, right through school and college. But to her the curves of her body were lovely, smooth and voluptuous. So what if she fitted into what was termed plus sized clothing, that didn't mean she wasn't sexy.

At 28 she was the youngest professor at the university, she loved her job. Her ability with languages was known in the field throughout the world, one day she'd count how many she was actually fluent in but not today. Her job paid well and allowed her freedom to continue her academic studies in her spare time.

Kerry glanced again at Susan and Russ. They were laughing together moving closer to each other and Kerry smiled happily. She was pleased that Susan was having such a good time. Of course Susan with her slender figure didn't go without her fair share of dates but Kerry was happy for her anyway. There was a nudge of envy at the back. It'd been 3 years since Kerry had last had a man in her life, rechargeable batteries and vibrators could only do so much. She missed the deliciousness of fingers stroking her skin and the warmth of a man beside her.

Kerry sighed and stood up placing her hand on Susan's shoulder “Susan, it's time I'm was going home” she said with a smile. “It's only early Kerry” Susan replied with a sheepish grin. Kerry nodded and smiled “It's okay, I have an early start tomorrow. Just have a good time and be safe”. She and Susan knew she meant both be careful that Russ isn't a psycho and make sure you use a condom. They hugged and Kerry moved off to the exit of the pub, glancing back briefly she saw Susan and Russ again animated in conversation.
